The children had a fantastic day today selling their produce at the Ballynacargy Country Market Fair. They proudly showcased the vegetables they had grown in the school garden, alongside a selection of delicious baked goods that they had prepared and baked themselves.
The event was a wonderful opportunity for the children to demonstrate their business and entrepreneurial skills. They carefully presented their products on their stall, worked out pricing for each item and thought creatively about how to attract customers. One of their excellent ideas was to provide a tasting tray, which proved very popular and encouraged many visitors to sample and purchase their goods.
Their efforts were rewarded with total sales of €223.
Upon returning to school, the Student Council held a meeting to discuss how the money should be spent. The children shared their ideas and voted on how best to use their earnings, giving them another valuable opportunity to practise teamwork and decision-making. Overall, it was a hugely successful and enjoyable day. We are extremely proud of the children for their hard work, creativity, and excellent representation of our school.
