Lá Glas!

12th Mar 2026

Our school was a sea of green today as we celebrated Lá Glas and marked the upcoming St Patrick’s Day. We had our much-loved annual parade, where the children proudly walked down the road dressed in green, filling the air with lively tunes played on their tin whistles.

Our special guest — St Patrick himself — gave fascinating tales about his life and the story of how he came to Ireland. The students listened with great interest and asked plenty of thoughtful questions.

In the evening, the celebrations continued with a fantastic trad session, where the sounds of traditional Irish music filled the school. Afterwards, the children enjoyed a range of fun and creative art activities, making colourful pieces inspired by Irish culture and the day’s celebrations.
